Desde 2010, o Brasil participa no Projeto Eratóstenes, com resultados surpreendentes. É uma atividade simples que consiste basicamente em medir a sombra de um lápis em uma data e horário específicos. Apesar da simplicidade, esta atividade pode trazer uma rica discussão interdisciplinar, permeando a História, Filosofia, Astronomia, Ciências, Matemática, Artes. As inscrições são grátis e os professores participantes recebem certificados. Trata-se de uma interessante atividade internacionalmente realizada.
